Early morning you will depart Nairobi after breakfast and the journey takes you to Lake Naivasha National park. The largest freshwater lake in Kenya which is approximately 100 Kilometers from Nairobi and a 2 hour drive away. It is located north west of Nairobi, outside the town of Naivasha. It is part of the Great Rift Valley fringed by thick papyrus is almost 13 km's across, but its waters are shallow with an average depth of five metres. The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to these shores.
Along the way you will make a special stop at a viewpoint to enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment for a short photo session. On arrival at Lake Naivasha you visit Hells gate National Reserve the only reserve in Kenya where you can enjoy game viewing while on a Bicycle. This is a remarkable quarter of the Great Rift Valley.
Spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa. In addition to the bio-diversity that includes raptors, But this requires more energy since one has to do some hiking and even getting yourself dirty even at some point you may be required to take off your shoes. But that is the fun part of it.
Later you will go for one hour Boat ride which will enable you to see the hippos, which you can easily spot from the island. Among the resident birds are fish eagles, ospreys, lily-trotters, black crakes and a variety of herons. Hippos also live in the lake.
