Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by a member of our team who will transfer you by road to Arusha Coffee Lodge . Arusha is situated beneath the towering peaks of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro. Visit the extraordinary social enterprise Shanga that employs disabled people from the community to create export quality recycled glass products Go on the exciting and informative ‘Coffee Tour’, weaving in and out of the evergreen coffee trees, the coffee guide explains how the bean is nurtured, harvested, dried and finally roasted to produce a myriad of different blends that sate the taste of the most ardent of coffee connoisseurs

Arusha Coffee Lodge

Arusha Coffee Lodge: 1 Night

The aptly named Arusha Coffee Lodge lies hidden amongst the sprawling grounds of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantation, set below the rugged peaks of Mt Meru. Guests can unwind in one of the lodge’s exclusive Plantation Suites, which each boast a romantic four-poster bed draped in Egyptian cotton linen, a split-level sitting area, ensuite bathroom, an open fireplace, a personal bar and a private veranda that looks out onto rows and rows of berry-laden coffee bushes.

Guests can enjoy delicious meals in the Coffee Lodge lounge or sip on their favourite drinks in the bar area. A boutique store, swimming pool and garden terrace add to guest delight. Other adventures include a tour of the Shanga social enterprise as well as visits to the Museum of Natural History, the Maasai market on Faya Road and the Tanzanite Experience. A game drive in Arusha National Park, accompanied by a delicious picnic lunch, makes for a wonderful outing.

Take a scheduled light aircraft flight to Manyara Airstrip. On arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to Lake Manyara Kilimamoja with game drive enroute. Lake Manyara National Park offers a wilderness experience in diverse habitats, from its Rift Valley soda lake to dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. Apart from a spectacular setting, the park is famous for its unusual tree-climbing lions and the vast elephant herds it was established to protect.

The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds, many of them waterfowl or migrants. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives through this diverse habitat to look for tree climbing lions. Explore areas of the park that cannot be reached by day visitors and are undisturbed by others. You will traverse a mosaic of acacia woodlands, grassy floodplains and tall forest in search of wildlife.

Lake Manyara Kilimamoja

Lake Manyara Kilimamoja: 2 Nights

Nestled on the rim of the Great African Rift Valley with stunning views over Lake Manyara, Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day. The lodge is set on pristine lush green gardens and local vegetation with over 130 species of birds. The Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge lies on an escarpment at the edge of Lake Manyara National Park, where it boasts astonishing views over the park. On days with clear skies, you can even see Mounts Meru and Kilimanjaro from this lodge. All rooms are luxuriously and comfortably appointed, with for example an outside & inside shower, a fireplace, free WiFi and a private balcony with a panoramic view. The main building has a spa, a TV room, a giant swimming pool and a spot where at night a fire is lit so you can watch the vast sky full of stars.

Take a game drive through Manyara Park and up the escarpment towards the misty Crater highlands. Enjoy the productive farming area you drive through and stop at a local vegetable farm if you would like to on route to Ngorongoro Lodge Melia. The Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, is home to more than 30 000 protected animals. It is an area of spectacular beauty and excellent game viewing, a truly unique safari destination in Africa. The Ngorongoro Crater, once a gigantic volcano, is the largest intact caldera in the world.

Today, long since having collapsed and eroded, it is an extensive highland area with the famous 600 metre deep Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. Wake up early to the views of the Crater, and after breakfast head off for a full day game drive on the Crater floor, abundant with wildlife -view Black rhino that are protected within its rim, giant tusked elephants, big-maned lions stalking the grasslands, and bright pink flamingos crowding the soda lakes.

Ngorongoro Lodge Melia

Ngorongoro Lodge Melia: 2 Nights

With its prime position and views as far as the eye can see over the legendary volcanic landscape, Ngorongoro Lodge Melia certainly delivers on location. With good access onto the crater floor, you will spend mornings game driving to see the Big Five and the numerous other creatures who have made this fascinating confined ecosystem their home. The hotel is about 1.5 hours’ drive from Lake Manyara airstrip, which is the best way to arrive. If you’re driving from Arusha then it takes about 3 hours. It is usual to stay for only two nights at the crater, and you can explore the crater floor on a half or full day’s game drive, depending on your itinerary and onward flights.

This is a state-of-the-art 5-star hotel, with beautiful open-plan lounges, modern in design yet furnished with little safari touches in keeping with Tanzanian traditions – as best they can, given the property’s size! There’s a plethora of different room types, too many to list. All are super-comfortable, with double or twin bed options and amenities including a coffee machine, mini-bar, safety deposit box, flat-screen TV, and private bathroom with a shower. If you want to include Melia as part of your trip, it’s best to chat with one of our specialists about which room type will suit the needs of your group and budget. Take a game drive back to the Manyara Airstrip, for your scheduled flight to the Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival you will be met by your safari guide who will transfer you to Nimali Serengeti. Nimali Serengeti sits in the heart of the legendary 15 000km² national park, one of the most prolific wildlife regions in the world. Being located so centrally means the lodge is within easy driving distance of many of the Serengeti's most prolific wildlife areas. Enjoying a brand-new position close to Makoma Hill, the reimagined Nimali Serengeti enjoys uninterrupted views over kopje dotted plains. The game viewing in this area is outstanding all year round, with large herds of buffalo and elephant, an abundance of plains game and exceptional big cat sightings.

Moreover, the lodge is located on one of the most renowned wildebeest migration routes, with the herds moving through from April to June and October to December each year. The Serengeti National Park, meaning “endless plains” in the Masai language, is undoubtedly one of the world’s most celebrated Wilderness areas and is an ongoing source of inspiration to writers, filmmakers and photographers.
